Result"An oral agreement to transfer land is presumptively void against the registered owner of a charge over that land, where the agreement was made without the written consent of the owner of the charge and therefore in breach of covenant . Promissory estoppel did not prevent the receiver appointed by the owner of the charge from recovering possession when several of the ingredients necessary for its operation were absent."
