Deed Poll - How to Prepare for Enrolling your Deed Poll

There are things applicants should consider before enrolling a Deed Poll.

1. Consider the costs of enrolling a Deed Poll
   Before beginning the Deed Poll process, applicants should consider the €60 fee charged for a Change of Name by Deed Poll. Every application also requires the swearing of an affidavit. The fee for this will need to be discussed with a solicitor/Commissioner for Oaths.
    
2. Consider the length of time for processing a Deed Poll
   The Deed Poll process takes approximately 6 weeks from the date of submission. This timeframe will not apply to all applications. Any errors or omissions will be queried and will then prolong the Deed Poll process.
