Offaly District Court – Arrangements for Tullamore – March 2021

Due to the continuation of Level 5 Covid-19 restrictions the following arrangements will apply in relation to the sittings of Tullamore District Court during March, 2021

  1. Licensing applications – cannot proceed if non-State witnesses are required.  Applications for adjournments may be made to Tullamore Court Office by email the office mailbox at tullamorecourtoffice@courts.ie
  2. Civil applications will be adjourned generally with liberty to re-enter.  Civil matters are applications for Instalment Orders, Orders on Failure to comply with Instalment Orders, Civil Trials etc. The only exception to No. 2 are cases which can be ruled on consent. Such cases should be notified to Tullamore Court Office via email at tullamorecourtoffice@courts.ie
  3. Small claims will be adjourned to a date to be assigned by the Office
  4.  All Juvenile Garda Prosecutions will be listed for hearing at 11.00 a.m. in lieu of 12.30. All other Criminal matters will proceed in line with the directions of the President of the District Court which issued on the 6th January, 2021.
  5.  All state body prosecutions listed on the 15/03/2021 will be adjourned to the 21st June, 2021 at 10.30 a.m.
  6. All An Post prosecutions will be adjourned to the 21st June, 2021
  7. All Offaly County Council prosecutions of parking offences or litter offences will be adjourned to the 21st June, 2021.
  8. Family Law – in line with the Practice Direction of the President of the District Court.

Where cases are adjourned generally with liberty to re-enter, such cases should be re-entered by the Plaintiff on notice to the Respondent when it is considered safe to have such matters re-listed before the Court.
