High Court - Extradition List - Long Vacation 2025
Friday 25th July 2025
Terms & Sittings

Practitioners are hereby advised of the following arrangements for the Extradition List during the long Vacation 2025.

A High Court Judge will be available each Wednesday throughout the long vacation period to deal with Extradition Matters.  The Extradition Vacation list dates are as follows:

Vacation List Sittings - 6, 13, 20 and 27 of August 2025

Vacation List Sittings - 3, 10, 17, 24 of September 2025 and 1 October 2025

This is to facilitate URGENT applications only and matters that were adjourned specifically to this date on an earlier occasion to facilitate, inter alia, statutory time limits.

All sittings before the Extradition vacation Judge will take place in Court 20 in the CCJ at 10.30 am unless otherwise advised by the Extradition Duty Registrar

In the case of any matter that was not previously listed, please contact the Extradition mailbox (extradition@courts.ie) to make arrangements with the Extradition Duty Registrar should a listing be required. Applications will not be listed before the vacation sitting of the Extradition list without certification from the Extradition Duty Registrar that the matter is sufficiently urgent. Please be prepared to put in writing via email an explanation of the urgency and specifically the reasons why the application must be immediately or promptly heard.

For extradition matters seeking to come before the Courts on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursday and Fridays, a High Court Duty Judge will be available throughout the Long Vacation to hear urgent applications. Applications will not be listed before the vacation Judge without certification from the High Court Duty Registrar that the matter is urgent. To list an urgent matter, please contact the Four Courts at 01-8886000 and make arrangements with the High Court Duty Registrar. When sending correspondence to the High Court Duty Registrar by way of email, carbon copying extradition@courts.ie with any papers related to the application.
