Notice to Litigants re Kerry Circuit Court Sittings during February 2021.

  1. Following on from the Practice directions issued by the Presidents of the various courts on the 27th January 2021 the following are the specific adjustments to the Kerry Circuit Court Sittings during the month of February 2021:- All cases in the Kerry Civil and Family Law Day lists for the month of February 2021, with the exception of those referred to at (2), (3) & (4) below, are now adjourned back to the Civil and Family Law call-over lists in March 2021 to fix a new date for hearing later this year. The call-over dates, venues and times for March 2021 in Kerry are as follows:-

a), Killarney Civil List at 10:30 a.m. on Monday the 22nd March 2021 at Killarney Courthouse,
b), Listowel & Tralee Civil Lists at 10:30 a.m. at Tralee Courthouse on Tuesday the 23rd March 2021.
c), Family Law List at 10:30 a.m. at Tralee Courthouse on Wednesday the 24th March 2021.

  1. Her Honour Judge Helen Boyle shall sit at Listowel Circuit Court on the 2nd day of February 2021 at 10:30 a.m., being the first day of the Scheduled sittings for Listowel this Term, to deal with all criminal matters listed that day.

    She may also hear any listed urgent civil/family law matters in the list that day. Legal Representatives and lay-litigants only should attend the call-over at 10:30a.m. with clients and witnesses being kept on standby so that they can come to the Courthouse, if and when required.

  2.  Her Honour Judge Helen Boyle shall sit at Killarney Circuit Court on the 4th day of February 2021 at 10:30 a.m., being the first day of the Scheduled Sittings for Killarney this Term, to deal with all criminal matters listed that day.

    She may also hear any listed urgent civil/family law matters in the list that day. Legal Representatives and lay-litigants only should attend the call-over at 10:30 a.m. with clients and witnesses being kept on standby so that they can come to the Courthouse if and when required.

  3. Her Honour Judge Boyle shall sit at Tralee on Tuesday the 9th February 2021 at 10:30 a.m., being the first day of the Scheduled Sittings for Tralee this Term, to deal with all criminal law matters listed that day, Licensing matters, Motions and District Court Appeals.

  4. Her Honour Judge Helen Boyle will be available to hear all and any urgent matters in the Circuit Court Jurisdictions in Kerry during the Month of February 2021 in the event of same being deemed necessary.

  5. All County Registrar Sittings are adjourned as follows:-

  6. All cases in the Re-possession List for Thursday the 18th February 2021 are adjourned to the 18th March 2021 at 10:30a.m. at Tralee Courthouse.

  7. All cases in the Family Law Case Progression List in Tralee on Monday the 15th February 2021 are adjourned to the Family Law Case Progression List at Tralee at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday the 16th March 2021.

  8. All cases in the family Law Case Progression List in Killarney on Wednesday the 17th February 2021 are adjourned to the family Law Case Progression List at Killarney at 10:30 a.m. on Monday the 15th March 2021.

  9.  The Family Law Motion Court List on Thursday the 25th February 2021 is adjourned to Thursday the 25th March 2021 at 10:30a.m. at The Courthouse, Tralee.

  10. The Civil Motion Court List on Friday the 26th February 2021 is adjourned to Friday the 26th March 2021 at 10:30a.m. at the Courthouse, Tralee.

Government is due to review the current extended Covid -19 restrictions regime on the 23rd February 2021. Consequently, litigants and their practitioners should revisit the Courts Service on-line Notices thereafter for any updates or changes, if any,  necessitated by further Government announcements.

GENERAL.

  1. Emailed consent applications and/or urgent applications will be dealt with throughout the restriction period as hithertofore.

  2. Urgent Civil and / or family law matters which require immediate hearings should be notified to Tralee Court Office by email giving full details of the case, the urgency, likely duration of any hearing, the number of witnesses and their specialization, if any. This information should be set out in a Notice of Application and Grounding Affidavit. The matter shall then be reviewed and appropriate directions/hearings facilitated, as necessary, remotely and/or in person as appropriate.
