We want the Courts Service to be a safe and welcoming place for everyone. Our staff will treat all court users with courtesy and respect. We kindly ask that you:
- Treat staff and others with respect also
- Allow staff reasonable time to respond to your questions
- Do not make unreasonable or persistent demands
Unacceptable behaviour
Some behaviours are never acceptable — whether in person, online, or through any other communication channel.
- Violence or threats, including physical attacks or intimidation
- Abusive or offensive language, writing, or gestures
- Damaging property, like breaking items or vandalism
- Recording or sharing videos in our buildings without permission
When behaviour becomes disruptive or unsafe, we may need to take action.
What you can expect
If you are aggressive or threatening we will stop the interaction and may limit or restrict how you can contact or visit us.
Aggressive or violent behaviours towards staff or other users will be reported to An Garda Síochána.
