It has come to our attention that members of the public have received fraudulent calls from individuals who pretended to be Courts Service staff.
The caller:
- Claimed to be a member of the Courts Service staff.
- Claimed to be following up on Fines to be paid.
- Targeted someone who had recently been to Court
- Asked for PPS, bank or credit card details.
The Courts Service will never ring anybody asking for PPS, banking or credit card details
If you receive such a call, please:
- Do not engage with the caller
- Do not share any part of your PPS Number, credit card details, bank card details, bank account details, or any other personal information with them.
