We have been working all weekend on the pages that have yet to transition to the new upgraded site which have experienced technical issues. Thank you for your patience and apologies for any inconvenience caused
We have upgraded the website which means pages which users might have bookmarked may no longer be available. Please take the time now to quickly check and update any bookmarks/ favourites you might rely on to do your job. To understand how to navigate the new website watch our explainer video.
Why upgrade courts.ie?
The main purpose of the upgrade is to improve our users’ journey on our website. We also need to improve the courts.ie accessibility score with the National Disability Authority (NDA) and compliance with the EU Web Accessibility Directive. The only way to do this is to make the content more accessible and easier to read for all our users.
ICT, started working with CMU and the Reform Teams on the Modernisation Programme to improve pages on the site earlier this year. You may have seen the improvements to, for example, the Jury, Repossessions, and Deed Poll pages. This upgrade is about taking a similar approach to the other sections.
What isn’t changing (yet)
The look and feel of some areas will remain as they are for a period as we transition the Judgments, Determinations, and Legal Diary onto the new website over the coming months. This is intentional and part of a phased approach, designed to ensure there is no disruption to vital services.
- Judgments and Determinations will continue to appear and function as they currently do. Once the Supreme Court moves over to UCMS later this year they will be delivered through the new website
- Legal Diaries for the Supreme Court, Court of Appeal, High Court, and Central Criminal Court will continue to appear and function as they currently do and transition to the new website over time
