Dún Laoghaire District Court covers all aspects of legal business - civil, criminal, family law and licensing.

The court sits 5 days per week, 10:30 a.m. - 12:45 p.m. & 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. and as required. (except during August and public holidays)
Monday: 10:30 a.m. - criminal. 2:00 p.m. - criminal for hearing.
Tuesday: 10:30 a.m. - criminal. 2:00 p.m.- family law.
Wednesday: all day - criminal for hearing.
1st Thursday: 10.30 a.m. - new garda custody cases only, various applications and civil list including local authority proceedings. 2 p.m. - hearings of council and civil matters.
2nd Thursday: - hearings of council and civil matters.
All other Thursdays: 10.30 a.m. - garda summonses.
1st Friday: 10.30 a.m. - criminal matters. 2.00 p.m. - no court
2nd Friday: 10.30 a.m. - garda custody cases only, fixed penalty summonses (garda and county council).
3rd Friday: 10.30 a.m. - criminal matters
4th Friday: 10.30 a.m. - criminal matters
Family Law: Cases are heard in camera - that is nobody except the parties to the proceedings and their representatives are allowed into the court. Throughout the courthouse there are a number of consultation rooms to allow clients discuss their business in private with their legal representatives.
Small Claims: This procedure is available. Leaflets and forms are available on this site or on request from the District Court office. Applications may also be made online.
Fee stamping: A court fee stamping service is available.
Garda stations: The garda stations which link to the court are, Dún Laoghaire, Dalkey, Blackrock, Cabinteely, Kill O'Grange, Shankill, Dundrum and Stepaside.
