To allow Probate staff reduce current backlogs in the issuing of Grants of Representation in the Probate Office, a reduced telephone service will be available to both legal practitioners and members of the public as and from Monday 15th September 2014 to Monday 13th October 2014.
During this period, the Probate Office will only take calls between 2.30 p.m. and 5 p.m.
Please also note that the resources to reply to emails during this period will also be considerably reduced.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause but wish to emphasise that this is a temporary measure which will improve waiting times in the long term. We ask for your co-operation in this regard.

10.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. and 2.00 p.m. to 4.30 p.m.
10.00 a.m. to 3.30 p.m. for all applications other than De Bonis Non applications and applications with a foreign dimension (other than United Kingdom) dimension.
Applications with a foreign (other than United Kingdom) dimension must be lodged by DX, post or drop in the Probate Office.
3.30 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. for applications being returned having being queried and fees only applications.
New applications cannot be processed after 3.30 p.m.
