Publication scheme

Under section 8 of the Freedom of Information Act, 2014 (FOI) public bodies must prepare and publish on a routine basis as much information outside of FOI as possible.

This allows for the publication of, or giving access to records outside of FOI provided that such publication or giving of access is not prohibited by law.

The publication scheme commits public bodies to make information available as part of their normal business.
